PTEF Hiring New Executive Director

The Perry Township Education Foundation has launched a search committee to hire a new Executive Director. PTEF raises funds to support innovative and creative programs that enhance learning throughout Perry Township public schools. Since 1994, when the foundation was created, PTEF has given more than 970 grants to Perry Township educators totaling more than $860,000. In 2009 alone, the foundation provided 62 grants for a total of $67,000.

The Perry Township Education Foundation (PTEF) serves Indiana's 12th largest public school district-the Metropolitan School District of Perry Township-by securing philanthropic resources to support educational initiatives within the district. The PTEF Board of Directors has committed to a transformation of the organization and seeks an experienced development professional to serve as Executive Director to collaboratively execute this new vision along with the board. The Executive Director provides administrative leadership, coordinates board engagement, develops and collaboratively executes fundraising strategies, and serves as the public face of the organization, representing PTEF in the community and with donors. Exceptional communication skills, high energy and a strong leadership style are necessary. Successful experience in resource development with individuals, corporations, foundations, and events is required, as well as the ability to attract scholarship, endowment, and planned gifts. The Executive Director will serve as the liaison to the township, including direct interaction with the Superintendent. Full job description available below.

The Perry Township Education Foundation (PTEF) is a non-profit educational foundation founded in 1994 by 13 interested community leaders. Originally proposed by the school corporation's superintendent, PTEF serves public school students, teachers, administrators, and staff in the Metropolitan School District of Perry Township.
